Slab system is protecting its low-income consumers with minimal electricity consumption. Under this new pricing structure, consumers can benefit from lower rates by using less electricity. As their electricity consumption increases, electricity rates will also increase. Customers are grouped into Protected and Unprotected customers.

Protected Consumers

Consumers who consistently use 200 units of electricity per month and maintain this level for 6 consecutive months will be designated as protected consumers. These protected consumers benefit from a relief or subsidy, meaning they would be charged a lower tariff compared to the unprotected consumers. The rates for protected consumers are given below:

FPA

FPA stands for Fuel Price Adjustment that appears on your bill, reflecting changes in electricity costs due to fluctuations in fuel prices, for companies generating electricity from crude oil.
